Young defender Cameron Carter-Vickers has signed a new contract with the Club until 2021.

Cameron is a product of our Academy and has so far made four first team appearances in our colours and achieved his first senior international start for the United States in a 1-0 win over Paraguay in March, 2018, which was his second senior national team appearance.

The big central defender went to Brammall Lane spending first half of the 2017/18 campaign on loan at Sheffield United, where he made 18 appearances, scoring on his debut against Bolton Wanderers.

He then made the move to Portman Road where he joined Ipswich Town on loan for the remainder of the season in January He went on to make a further 17 appearances in the Championship for the Tractor Boys.

It remains to be seen whether he will get a chance with the first team squad this season or will be sent on loan to further his development. His chances will likely to be boosted should Toby Alderweireld leave for pastures new this summer.
