Steve Bruce provides promising news for Spurs fans

Steve Bruce has confirmed talks are underway with Tottenham Hotspur regarding the transfer of Jack Grealish, say Sky Sports News.

After months of speculation, it seems Spurs are finally closing in on signing Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.

However, Bruce also added Spurs will not be signing the youngster ‘on the cheap’.

Despite Villa’s financial problems earlier in the summer, Bruce stated the club is now out of a position where they needed to sell their best players in order to find some quick cash.

The 57-year-old went on to say Spurs will have to find a ‘premium’ should they wish to take their youngster away from Villa Park.

Spurs also faced competition from London rivals Chelsea but it is believed the Blues have ended their interest with the 22-year-old wanting to play Champions League football.

Only days remain until Daniel Levy cannot bring in any players until January 2019 and Spurs are still in need for another ‘homegrown’ player to use in their Champions League squad.

Spurs fans, do you think this deal will be finalised before the Thursday deadline and would you be happy to see Grealish wearing lilywhite?
