Spurs expected XI to face Manchester City on Monday

Tottenham Hotspur face Manchester City on a battered Wembley pitch on Monday Night Football.

The fixture was originally supposed to be held on the Sunday, but an NFL game at the national stadium has forced the switch.

Tottenham had hoped to host the game at their new stadium, but delays continue to hamper the opening date.

If Spurs manage to grab all three points on Monday, they will leapfrog their title rivals City who currently sit top of the table, two points above Tottenham.

Pochettino’s men will be looking to put their midweek PSV disappointment behind them, as the Champions League looks to be a step too far this season.

They must now concentrate on qualifying for it again next year, and pushing for domestic silverware.

It’s a tricky team to predict this week, as we believe Poch would have favoured a three at the back system if Vertonghen and Rose were fit.

Jan would provide a left sided centre-back, with Rose as Spurs’ best wing back.

However, we have still gone for this formation, as it remains a possibility with Dier in the LCB position, and Davies on the wing.

Winks comes in to replace Sonny, slotting into Dier’s normal position next to Mousa Dembele.

Dele Alli should be back from the game, but is expected to start from the bench.
