It was reported last night Spurs were in talks with Bundesliga side Schalke over a potential loan move for left-back Danny Rose.

Spurs are eyeing up a late move for Benfica’s Alex Grimaldo who is matched with a £30m price tag, according to the Daily Record.

Today, Spurs are believed to be in a frantic search for a replacement should the Englishman leave for Germany.

The 22-year-old began his footballing career in Spain with both Valencia and Barcelona’s youth sides before making the move to Portugal to join the Eagles.

The Spaniard cost Benfica just £2m in 2016 but after two impressive seasons the youngster’s price tag has skyrocketed and Daniel Levy may be made to pay a premium.

Spurs have not been the only English team to be linked to the youngster, Manchester United and Arsenal have also had interest in the player but to no prevail.

Spurs fans, would you like to see Spurs make a move for this young left-back or just keep hold of Danny Rose?

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Does Spurs really not want Rose or is it really him pushing for a move or is he not up to the EPL anymore or do Spurs not rate him anymore or do Spurs want the money for him for other purchases for in the past he has been big in the mouth and his injuries has not helped I personally don`t think Spurs would miss him .
