Spurs face Hearts in UEFA Europa League play-off round

Tottenham Hotspur have been drawn against Hearts in the UEFA Europa League play-off round.

The fixtures will be contested over two legs on 18 and 25 August with the winners qualifying for the group stage proper, which gets under way on 15 September.

The first leg will be played at Tynecastle with the return leg a week later at White Hart Lane.

  1. Rather the devil we know. Travel would suit Spurs. Ideal oppurtunity to give fair & equal oppurtunity to our large squad. On the subject of offloadings, Levy will live to regret not considering lowering the current asking prices which will impact on his wage bill. This falls out of harry's jurisdiction.

    • Tis true, he does need to cut his losses a little. It would be better in the long run if we were able to offload more sooner rather than later, rather than squeezing everly last penny out as levy likes to do.
      It might also be hindering us in bringing people in.

      At the same time i think that Harry is a manager who likes, and perhaps depends(?), on competition for places. How many strikers did he accumulate at Portsmouth? – it was something like six.
