Spurs face injury crisis for Stoke trip

Robbie Keane

Tottenham have a host of injury problems ahead of the trip to Stoke City.

The plastic pitch in Switzerland looks to have taken its toll on our players and we are facing the prospect of only having Peter Crouch as a fit striker. This does make me think, well why haven’t we brought Gudjohnsen back in for another spell?

Jermain Defoe (groin), Roman Pavlyuchenko (ankle) and Robbie Keane (jarred knee) are ruled out – along with Giovani Dos Santos. Aaron Lennon is expected to come back in the side.

Redknapp told the club’s offical site: “We’ve picked up so many injuries in that one game, it’s unbelievable really.

“Jermain, Robbie, Pavlyuchenko – all out. Giovani as well

“It leaves me with Peter Crouchy. It’s not a bad one to have, but that’s all we’ve got.”
