Spurs facing midfield injury crisis

Jake Livermore - Tottenham Hotspur News

Harry Redknapp is facing an injury crisis ahead of Tottenham’s Europa League play-off visit to Hearts on Thursday.

Spurs are short on central midfielders due to injury which means that the likes of Jake Livermore are expected to get a run out in Edinburgh.

He said: “I’m struggling in that area. Jermaine Jenas is injured and so are Sandro, Steven Pienaar and Tom Huddlestone.

“At the moment, I think only Luka Modric is fit to play in midfield. On top of that William Gallas and Ledley King are also out.”

  1. we still have livermore, bostock, modric, niko (who are all ahead of jj in the pecking order in my eyes anyway)we have more than enough to go to hearts and win NO EXCUSES

  2. Who gives a shit now. Between Redknapp and Levy they are fucking everything up for Spurs. What with Redknapps constant excuses and Levy’s tight fisted outlook on transfers the only way we are going is downwards now. I’m sick to death of the pair of them.

  3. As a football fan of THFC the only conclusion you can come to is Mr.Levy no longer has faith in his manager. "Get on with what you have got" Harry because no more money will be spent whilst you are at the helm. I firmly believe he will not be there after 10 games. Does it not make sense that during the transfer window instead of recruiting new players Mr.Levy has been lining up a replacement with more tactical nous than Harry will ever have. He kept saying 2 points after 8 games when he arrived, well funny how things can go full circle.Tighten your seat belt fellow fans we are in for a rough old ride.

  4. Levy surely deserves more credit and respect. He doesn't get everything exactly right, but he is clearly resolutely committed to Spurs and pushing us forward. He is a good businessman with determination to match acting in what he believes, and I think most would agree, are the best interests of the club.

Spurs are an ambitious and very competitive well run club. We have Levy to thank for that.

    • absolutely we have come along way since our reform after the world cup in 2004 i believe he changed our policies and we have enjoyed some good european adventures in both competitions competing in the league finishing 5th on 3 occasions a 4th plus a carling cup since the change . i'm 25 now and we are a long long long way away from the dark days of having to get our legend (klinsmann) to come out of retirement to save us from relegation and getting 7 put past us on a few occasions too. These last few years have been the greatest i have experienced as a yid undoubtedly we have played some fantasic football and gained some fantastic players and produced some unforgettable moments. I think my favorite was doin the hammers 4 3 the season after we were robbed of cl by them and the fa and the scum and we effectively sent them down sweet sweet revenge :)
