Tottenham Hotspur fans could be set for a disappointment later today, as the Premier League Team of the Season is set to be announced.
Spurs have had a number of outstanding performers this season in the League, as they look to finish in the top three yet again.
Moussa Sissoko has arguably been the best holding midfielder in the League this season, with Fernandinho struggling with injuries and Kante strangely moved into an attacking role.
Jan Vertonghen has continued to prove himself as one of the best left-sided central defenders in the Prem, and Alderweireld has been solid yet again beside him.
Unfortunately, Kane’s injuries have hampered his goal scoring slightly, although he has still been up there in the ranks.
Heung Min Son has enjoyed his best ever season for Spurs, and it will be between him and Sissoko for Tottenham’s player of the season.
Finally, Christian Eriksen may not have enjoyed his best ever season, but he does top the charts for assists this campaign.

If the leaks are to be believed, ten of the eleven players in the team of the season come from Liverpool or Man City (Mirror).
The only non-City/Liverpool player comes in the form of none other than Paul Pogba, a name no one expected to be anywhere near a best XI.
