Spurs fans will love the gap between their club and Arsenal in the prize money chart

Tottenham Hotspur may still be disappointed from their Champions League defeat at the hands of Liverpool, but fans should be optimistic about their summer transfer window.

With Pochettino leading his side to their first ever Champions League final, and securing top four yet again in the Prem this season, their earnings are certainly looking healthy.

In fact, Spurs boast the second highest prize money/tv money earnings out of all Premier League clubs for last season, more than Prem champions Man City.

Only Liverpool earned more in their domestic and European season after scooping the Champions League trophy.

The Reds earned a whopping £250.9m from their four competitions, while Spurs scooped an impressive £235.3m (Sun).

Man City were next on £233.3m, followed by Man United on £225.2m, and Chelsea on £184.7m. Arsenal fans will have to look away, as their club finished bottom of the top six when it comes to earnings, taking just £174.2m.

The gap between Spurs and Arsenal increased from £23.3m last year to £61 this season, while The Sun report that the Gunners will have just £40m to spend in the summer transfer window.

Spurs Web Opinion:

This certainly makes for happy reading, but I will only be satisfied if Tottenham take these earnings and invest them in some quality new players this summer. Spurs are enjoying their golden generation of players (and staff) at the moment, and Levy simply must put his money where his mouth is before the trophies slip through the club’s fingers.
