Most Spurs fans will love the latest list of names confirmed for legends game

Tottenham will host two test events later this month in order to get the required safety certificate to open their new stadium for Premier League and Champions League games from April.

The latter of these two test events is a much-anticipated game between Tottenham legends and Inter Milan legends that will see several greats of yesteryear from both clubs lock horns against each other.

Tottenham already confirmed that Robbie Keane, Rafael van der Vaart, Dimitar Berbatov, Allan Nielsen, David Howells, Stephen Carr, Darren Anderton, and goalkeeper Erik Thorstvedt will all be taking the field for the Spurs legends.

Now in another announcement the club have revealed that Jurgen Klinsmann, Nayim, Micky Hazard, Mark Falco, Teemu Tainio, Paul Stalteri, Pascal Chimbonda, Chris Perry, and Neil Sullivan will also be part of the action on the day.

Klinsmann’s name, in particular, stands out among list as he is very much a fan favourite among Spurs fans. It was revealed that the German striker will play for both teams during the game owing to his shared history with both clubs.

Speaking about being involved in the game, Klinsmann told the club’s official website, ” It‘s a huge honour and pleasure to be part of the first senior game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with all the amazing Legends.

“I can’t wait to be back again in Tottenham and to feel the very unique spirit that surrounds Spurs.”

The club also announced that Legendary striker Clive Allen will take the dugout as the assistant manager next to Gary Mabbutt, the Legends team manager.
