Spurs fans will love what Berbatov said about their CL prospects

With ten minutes to go in match day four of the Champions League group stage, Spurs found themselves at the bottom of their group, having amassed just 1 point in the campaign until that point and trailing PSV Eindhoven 1-0 at home.

Tottenham somehow miraculously managed to qualify from the group after turning that game around with two late goals, beating Inter Milan and then managing a point away at the Camp Nou.

Spurs then thrashed Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund 4-0 over two legs in the round of 16, to book themselves a place in the quarterfinals of the competition for the first time since 2011.

Former Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov has lavished praise on the Spurs side after their victory over Dortmund and said that they have what it takes to go all the way in the competition, along with his another one of his former teams, Manchester United.

Speaking to Betfair, the Bulgarian said, “Both they (Man Utd) and Spurs have a chance of winning the Champions League now – they’re in the last eight, so why not?

“Spurs are gaining more experience in the competition every season and they have great attacking talent, with Dele Alli returning soon to compliment Kane, Son and Eriksen.”
