Some fans will love Jose Mourinho’s trophy promise for Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur decided to part ways with Mauricio Pochettino back in late November last year, a manager who had carried them a long way in his five years in charge.

Poch had taken the Lilywhites from the Europa League to the Champions League Final in that time, although failed to ever win a trophy in the capital.

When appointing his successor, Daniel Levy and the board opted to bring in one of the most serial winners in the modern game, Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho has won silverware wherever he has been in his senior managerial career, including Porto, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Manchester United.

Tottenham have not won a trophy since 2008 when they lifted the League Cup against Chelsea, but Mourinho does not believe they will become the only club where he has not won a major trophy.

The Special One seemed confident that he will lead the Lilywhites to glory during his tenure (Football London): “I believe that Tottenham is not going to be my only club without silverware. I won at every club and I believe I’m going to do it at Tottenham.”
