Spurs favourites for England World Cup star

He only made his England debut  in 2017, but World Cup Star Harry Maguire has become the unlikely hero of the team’s World Cup campaign.

He has been described as a ‘colossus’, ‘immense’ and ‘granite’ and the Leicester defender who against Sweden in the quarter-final, was only making his tenth appearance for his country.

He scored England’s first goal against The Swedes which added to some solid performances at the back alongside Manchester City duo John Stones and Kyle Walker.

He is bound to catch the attention of the bigger clubs (yes, we are aware Leicester won the Premier League in 2016) and unsurprisingly, a number of ‘big six’ sides are among the favourites to sign Maguire, who joined the Foxes from Hull for what can only be considered a bargain £17million in 2017 and according to talkSPORT Spurs are the favourites to sign him.

Harry Maguire’s next club

Tottenham 5/2

Man United 8/1

Liverpool 10/1

Man City 16/1

Chelsea 16/1

  1. You are having a laugh mate, he is a fox and we pay him better than any spurs player, he already is an England player so don’t need to change clubs to become one.

  2. Fairly obvious he would want to play for Spurs after all Spurs are the biggest London club with the best players.
After playing in Spurs second team for the last couple of weeks he will slot straight in.

  3. I cannot believe what I am reading. 1. Spuds epitomise losing 2. They wouldn’t pay him enough. 3. His roots are up in the north. 4. He’s on a long contract at Leicester 5. Would the Spuds pay £60m+ for him. 6. Who in their right mind move to the s.hithole cesspit that accommodates the Spuds which is in the heart of k.nife capital.

  5. Maguire will remain at Leicester for the 2018/19 season and will be given an improved contract with a 70m buy out clause, which if he continues to progress will be met by one of the top 6 for 2019/20 but not Daniel Levy’s Spurs. To rich for Levy’s blood!
