Spurs’ first 14 games compared to last 14 at WHL and Arsenal’s start at the Emirates

Tottenham Hotspur have now played a grand total of 14 games in their new stadium since it opened last season against Crystal Palace.

In that time, the North London club have won eight games, drawn two, and lost four in front of the home crowd.

However, how does this compared to Arsenal when they made the move from Highbury to the Emirates back in 2006?

The Express report that Arsenal did not lose a single game out of their first 14, not dropping all three points at home until their 23rd match there.

Out of the first 14, Arsenal also won eight, but drew the remaining six, avoiding the losses that Spurs have sustained.

What about the final 14 games that were played at White Hart Lane before Spurs made the move to Wembley?

Spurs won every single one of their final 14 home games at White Hart Lane in the 2016/17 season, going unbeaten at home for the entire campaign (Wikipedia).

It certainly looks as if Spurs have a lot to live up to when it comes to forging their new ground into a fortress like the old WHL, and even some catching up to do on the Emirates.
