Spurs half-time ratings v Luton – Another clueless half

Guglielmo Vicario: Could do little about Chong’s goal. 6.

Pedro Porro: Did well to block a Luton shot on goal just before half time. Has not been his usual attacking threat. 5.

Cristian Romero: With the majority of play in Luton’s half, he has not really been tested by Morris. 5.

Radu Dragusin: Making his first Premier League start at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, has had little to do. 5.

Destiny Udogie: Luton have been aware of the threat of the Italian by man-marking him with Luke Berry. 5.

Pape Matar Sarr: His shot from Sonny’s chance was cleared off the line. 5.

Yves Bissouma: His attempt to block the cross for Luton’s opener was laughable to say the least, still hasn’t rediscovered his early season form. 3.

James Maddison: Has been closely marked by Luton centre back Reece Burke, has tried to drop deep to get things moving but has not had any impact. 4.

Timo Werner: Started the match brightly down the right. He should have levelled the score when he latched onto a pass from Kulusevski, turned the defender inside out and his left-footed effort was scuffed the wrong side of the post. His effort from Son’s rebound also failed to hit the net. 4.

Dejan Kulusevski: His loose pass to Townsend cost Tottenham the opening goal. His pass for Werner’s chance was an improvement but still sloppy in possession on so many occasions. 3.

Heung-min Son: Too easily muscled off the ball in the phase which led to Luton’s counter attack for Chong’s goal. He must have thought he scored when he rounded the keeper only for his effort to hit both posts. 6.
