Spurs half time ratings vs Arsenal – Lacking the killer pass

Tottenham head into the break against Mikel Arteta’s side currently level at 1-1 after Harry Kane’s penalty cancelled out Thomas Partey’s opener.

Hugo Lloris: Had no chance with Partey’s goal, got down bravely to dive at the feet of Jesus. 6.

Emerson Royal: Arsenal have looked to target the Brazilian defensively, did well to make up for allowing Jesus in behind. Was turned inside out by the same player near half time. 5.

Cristian Romero: Back in the team after missing the Leicester match and has got his foot in with some strong challenges. 6.

Eric Dier: Has got stuck in and put his head where it hurts. 6.

Clement Lenglet: Got an important leg to a clearance in the opening minute, has done well against Saka. 6.

Ivan Perisic: Pinned back in his own half with Arsenal’s numerical advantage in midfield. Got forward just before the half and pulled his shot wide. 5.

Rodrigo Bentancur: Giving Partey far too much time on the ball near the Spurs box. 5.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg: Also guilty of allowing the Arsenal players too much time on the ball. 5.

Richarlison: Had Tottenham’s first chance from a set piece and will be disappointed not to have scored. Won his side a penalty just after the half hour. A better pass to Perisic would have seen the Croatian through on goal. 6.

Heung-min Son: Did brilliantly in the build-up to the phase of play which led up to the penalty. 6.

Harry Kane: Showed nerves of steel after a long delay to rake his penalty and stuck it right down the middle. 6.
