Spurs half time ratings vs Arsenal – Son gets the better of Holding

Tottenham head into the break against Mikel Arteta’s side currently 2-0 ahead courtesy of a brace from Harry Kane.

Hugo Lloris: Had one nervy moment where he lost the ball in the air, but apart from that has been a spectator until tipping over an effort shortly before the break. 6.

Emerson Royal: Was easily beaten by Martinelli after 15 minutes but thankfully came to nothing. Has had a couple of decent chances at the other end to score. 6.

Davinson Sanchez: A couple of nervy passes in the opening minutes after three months without a start. 6.

Eric Dier: Has played well in the middle of the defence, a couple of loose long passes but overall good. 6.

Ben Davies: Booked for pulling back Saka on 16 minutes. 6.

Ryan Sessegnon: Has been solid defensively, and fluffed his lines from a free-kick when he got the ball trapped under his feet when he looked to square it across goal. 6.

Rodrigo Bentancur: A brilliant header from Son’s corner to tee up Kane’s diving header, has interlinked well with Hojbjerg with one dropping deep to allow the other to push on. 6.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg: Wasted too good early chances to cross from the right-hand side early on but has impressively grown into the match. 7.

Dejan Kulusevski: Was Spurs’ brightest player in the first ten minutes and has run his socks off down the right. 7.

Heung-min Son: Caused Holding a number of problems which led to the pair battling it out on more than one occasion. The Arsenal man was deservedly sent off for a second booking on 32 mins. 7.

Harry Kane: Barely saw the ball in the opening twenty minutes but soon found the back of the net from the penalty spot and headed in his second nine minutes before the break. 7.
