Spurs half time ratings vs Crystal Palace – Second best all over the pitch

Tottenham head into the break against Patrick Viera’s side currently level at 0-0 after another drab first half display.

Hugo Lloris: Showed great reflexes to adjust his body to deny Ayew. 6.

Matt Doherty: Has got forward and mostly played in the opposition half, however, his delivery has been disappointing. 5.

Cristian Romero: No booking yet for the Argentine, has not looked to get as involved going forward as usual which sums up the half. 5.

Eric Dier: A vital block to deny Olise’s curling effort. 5.

Clement Lenglet: An important header at the back post to stop Schlupp from having an opportunity on goal. 5.

Ivan Perisic: Has offered little down the left flank with Spurs struggling to get out. Did Skipp no favours with a short pass which led to the midfielder’s booking. 5.

Oliver Skipp: Took the place of the suspended Bissouma. Started the game well, breaking through the lines but faded considerably as the half went on. Booked for a challenge on Ayew before half time. 5.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg: Looks a couple of yards off the pace, has misplaced some passes and his attempt to close down Andersen’s effort on goal was lethargic. 4.

Bryan Gil: Was Tottenham’s brightest player early on in the match, but still needs to bulk up after being easily nudged off the ball on a couple of occasions. 5.

Heung-min Son: A player completely devoid of any confidence. 4.

Harry Kane: Had his first glimpse of goal after 24 minutes when he could not direct a header on target. Granted he has had limited service, but has done very little overall. 5.
