Spurs half time ratings vs Everton – Lacking quality in attack

Tottenham head into the break against Sean Dyche’s side currently level at 0-0.

Hugo Lloris: Back in the starting eleven after recovering from his knee injury, had one nervy moment when he tried to claim the ball. 6.

Pedro Porro: Made a good run down the right early on, only to see his ball back across the six yard box cleared. Came close to making an error with his attempted chest pass to Lloris, which thankfully only just reached the Frenchman. 6.

Cristian Romero: Has had an incident-free first half. 6.

Eric Dier: Played a nice ball over the top to release Porro after 5 minutes and followed up with another to release Perisic down the left ten minutes later. 7.

Clement Lenglet: Has tried to get forward down the left when possible. Showed a calm side to his defending when he snuffed out a counter attack led by Grey. 6.

Ivan Perisic: Tried an ambitious effort after spotting Pickford off his line, but skied his effort into the stand behind. Played a good cross onto the head of Kane. Cleared well with his head to deny Everton an opportunity five minutes before the half. 7.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg: Has struggled to have any positive influence on the match and needs to be doing more to get the ball into attacking areas. 5.

Oliver Skipp: Broke up the play well and drove forward for Kane’s early chance, arguably he should have played in Son with a better touch. 6.

Heung-min Son: Another quiet half from the South Korean, who continues to struggle when sharing the flank with Perisic. Had an opportunity just before half time when his shot was saved by the feet of Pickford – will be thankful to have seen the offside flag go up. 5.

Dejan Kulusevski: Has had plenty of touches down the right. Had the opportunity to play in Son but picked the wrong option. Played in the South Korean just before half time with a neat pass following a driving run forward, only for Son to have been ruled offside. 6.

Harry Kane: Came narrowly close to breaking the deadlock inside ten minutes only for Michael Keane to clear his effort off the goal line. He will be kicking himself for not getting his header on target from Perisic’s cross. 7.
