Spurs half time ratings vs Forest – Ivan the impressive

Tottenham head into the break against Steve Cooper’s side currently 1-0 ahead courtesy of Harry Kane’s early goal.

Hugo Lloris: Did well to save O’Brien’s effort. 6.

Emerson Royal: Has done ok defensively but is still unable to make the right decisions on occasions when in the opposition’s half. 6.

Davinson Sanchez: Has done ok but needs to make better decisions with the ball when in possession rather than looking backwards. 6.

Eric Dier: Guilty of diving in to try and win the ball on the half-hour mark and will thank his goalkeeper that the score is not level. 6.

Ben Davies: Has allowed Perisic the licence to play further forward and has had a relatively quiet half. 6.

Ivan Perisic: Playing once again in an advanced role but has worked back defensively with a couple of key interventions to keep Williams quiet. A very solid first half from the Croatian. 7.

Rodrigo Bentancur: Called into more defensive duties rather being able to play further up the pitch. 6.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg: Has broke up the play well in the middle of the pitch and release those further forward. 6.

Dejan Kulusevski: Played a pivotal role in the opening goal with a driving run forward and a neat reverse pass to Kane. 7.

Heung-min Son: Was inches away from his first goal of the season, but saw his shot go narrowly over the bar. Still looking a little short of confidence in front of goal. 6.

Harry Kane: Took his goal brilliantly, and nearly had a second if not for a late challenge by Joe Worrall. 6.
