Spurs half time ratings vs Leeds – Bissouma bossing the midfield

Here’s how we rated the Tottenham Hotspur players following the opening forty-five minutes of action against Leeds Unted in this afternoon’s final Premier League fixture of the 2022/23 season.

Tottenham head into the break against Sam Allardyce’s side currently 1-0 ahead courtesy of Harry Kane’s early goal.

Fraser Forster: Called into action for the first time to tip the ball over the bar on 36 minutes. 6.

Emerson Royal: Played a great ball to release Porro down the right to start the move for Kane’s opener. Has to do better defensively when alongside Sanchez. 7.

Davinson Sanchez: Jointly guilty of allowing Koch to ghost in behind him for what should have been an equaliser. Showed his erratic side when he blasted the ball against Bissouma and out for a corner when under limited pressure and just before the half time whistle to concede a corner.. 5.

Clement Lenglet: Making his last appearance for the club as things stand and has rarely been troubled by the Leeds attack. 6.

Ben Davies: Nothing spectacular from the Welshman. 6.

Pedro Porro: Did well in the phase of play which led to Kane’s goal. 6.

Yves Bissouma: Once again, he has looked like a completely different player to the one under Conte, has bossed the midfield. 8.

Oliver Skipp: The more industrious of the midfield pair in looking to win the ball back, definitely looks more comfortable alongside Bissouma than he does when he plays with Hojbjerg. 6.

Heung-min Son: Another assist for the South Korean in his partnership with Kane to unselfishly square to his captain. 7.

Dejan Kulusevski: Broke well and should have done better on the counter to release the ball into Son’s path. His deft reverse pass to Kane was much better. 6.

Harry Kane: Broke the deadlock with a typically lethal finish. Could have had a chance of a second when Bissouma’s scuffed shot fell into his path but could not bring he ball under control. 8.
