Here’s how we rated the Tottenham Hotspur players following the opening forty five minutes of action against West Ham United.
Tottenham head into the break against David Moyes’ side currently 2-1 ahead and will be kicking themselves for allowing another set piece goal to be conceded.
Hugo Lloris: Won’t be happy to have been beaten at his near post for West Ham’s goal 6.
Matt Doherty: Read the play brilliantly to win the ball back which led to the opening goal, growing in confidence. 7.
Cristian Romero: Assured at the back and yet to pick up a booking. 6.
Eric Dier: Has dealt well with the physical threat of Antonio. 6.
Ben Davies: Has had little to do, has dealt with threats when needed. 6.
Sergio Reguilon: Still needs to offer more in attack. 6.
Rodrigo Bentancur: Started the game well, looking to put pressure on the opposition and tidy when in possession. 7.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg: Has sat in front of the defence and tried to get the ball moving, has done well to break up play in the middle. 7.
Dejan Kulusevski: Has looked to cause trouble down the right. 6.
Heung-min Son: Played a key part in Zouma’s own goal. Agonisingly saw his shot hit the post, in fairness the pass from Kulusevski was slightly behind him. Got his reward on 24 minutes with a goal of his own. Should have done better defensively when marking Benraham which led to West Ham’s goal. 7.
Harry Kane: Did well to square the ball back across the six-yard box for the own goal. his pass which sliced open the Hammers for Son’s goal was simply exquisite. 8.
