Spurs half time ratings vs Wolves – The worst forty-five minutes of the Conte era

Here’s how we rated the Tottenham Hotspur players following the opening forty five minutes of action against Wolverhampton Wanderers this afternoon in the Premier League.

Tottenham head into the break on the back of arguably the worst half of football witnessed since Antonio Conte took charge and currently trail 2-0

Hugo Lloris: At fault for Wolves’ opener having decided to punch the ball rather than catch it and was punished by Jiminez who chested it down and volleyed home. Also had a nightmare with his pass for their second. 4.

Matt Doherty: Up against his old side and has done little at both ends of the pitch. Has been all over the place with a lack of conviction with his clearances. 5.

Cristian Romero: The best of a bad bunch. 6.

Davinson Sanchez: Constantly out of position which is gifting Wolves space in behind him. 5.

Ben Davies: An awful clearance attempt having been played under pressure by Lloris which gifted Wolves their second. 5.

Ryan Sessegnon: Back in the team and has rarely threatened in the final third. Conceded a sloppy free-kick in his own half having been caught square-on by Podence. Hauled off by Conte on 27 minutes for Kulusevski. 5.

Harry Winks: Should have closed down the ball to stop the cross in the build-up to Wolves’ goal. Had his pocket picked too easily by Podence in the middle of the park – really struggling. 4.

Rodrigo Bentancur: Played a great ball to play Son through on goal. Has looked to get the ball forward to Kane and the South Korean. 6.

Lucas Moura: Has shown hunger to drive forward with the ball but to little effect. 6.

Heung-min Son: Made a good run to latch onto a Rodrigo pass but his shot on goal was weak. Done well to make space down the left which nearly create a chance for Kane. 6.

Harry Kane: Has been excellent so far, unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the majority of his teammates. 7.

Dejan Kulusevski: Was brought after 27 minutes with his side 2-0 down and has slotted in playing off Kane. 6.
