Spurs in for Hargreaves

Harry Redknapp - Tottenham Hotspur News

Harry Redknapp is reported to be ready to offer Owen Hargreaves a short-term Spurs deal.

The England midfielder is available on a free transfer after he was released by Manchester United in the summer following an injury-ravaged spell at Old Trafford.

The 30-year-old recently posted a series of videos on YouTube in a bid to prove his fitness to potential new employers, and Redknapp is believed to be interested in the former Bayern Munich star.

Hargreaves has attracted interest from West Brom and Leicester, but White Hart Lane now appears to be his destination as Redknapp deals with injuries and departures.

Sandro is recovering from knee surgery, while Jermaine Jenas and Tom Huddlestone have spent more time in the treatment room than on the pitch so far this season.

And with Wilson Palacios set to move to Stoke and the Luka Modric saga rumbling on, Redknapp could be forced to take a risk with the injury-prone England star.

  1. Exactly what we need. More injury prone players. Management of the club is run by clowns. Now Diarra deal is off and Parker uncertain! WTF? Where is the ambition? If not willing to spend for the future, better put the club up for sale and get some proper footballing people in!
