Harry Kane outlined the importance of the latest Tottenham win on social media last night, whilst revealing that he is already looking forward to the North London Derby this week.
Spurs managed to grind out all three points against Everton on Monday with a defensively-dominated 1-0 result.
The goal came in the first half when Harry Kane found Giovani Lo Celso in the Toffees’ box and the Argentine let fly with his left foot.
While the initial shot was heading wide of the mark, a fortunate deflection against Everton’s Keane saw the ball nestle in the far side of the net, leaving Pickford wrong-footed.
The likes of Eric Dier, Toby Alderweireld, and Serge Aurier then put in monumental defensive displays in order to keep the Merseyside team from scoring.
A loss to the Toffees would have seen Jose Mourinho’s side drop back into the bottom half of the table for the first time in months.
