Fabrizio Romano provides an update on the future of Eberechi Eze in his Daily Briefing this week, but Crystal Palace are still yet to receive a single bid for the midfield star.

Tottenham want to sign Eberechi Eze
There have been mixed reports about Tottenham and Eberechi Eze over the past month, but one claim remains consistent – Spurs are interested in signing the Crystal Palace creator (TEAMtalk).
GiveMeSport say that Eze would prefer to remain in London this summer, which would seemingly give the likes of Tottenham a huge boost in their chances of signing him.
However, The Mirror (23/07/24 – back page) reported that Eze would actually prefer a move to Manchester City over Tottenham this year, which slightly confuses things.

Spurs have been in touch with Eze’s agents
Fabrizio Romano has now reported that Crystal Palace have received no bids for their star man this summer, even though multiple clubs are very much interested in Eze.
Spurs have apparently been in touch with Eze’s agents since February, with CAA Base representing a number of key Tottenham players already.
Romano said: “I’ve been asked by a few fans for an update on Eberechi Eze, who has attracted plenty of links and speculation after his excellent form for Crystal Palace, which also saw him make it into the England squad for Euro 2024.
“The situation is this: all the big clubs in Premier League have been monitoring Eze, really all of them. But at the moment, Palace have not received any formal proposal, so let’s see if that changes soon.
“Man City had Eze on their list already last summer, while Tottenham have been in contact with his agents since February – the interest is absolutely still there but again, no bids yet.”
Spurs Web Opinion:
It feels like Tottenham are waiting to make their move for Eze. Hopefully, they are waiting until they make a big summer sale like Richarlison, and they are not waiting until next summer to bid for him.
£60m plus add-ons would be a huge fee for Spurs to pay, but it would improve the depth of Ange Postecoglou’s squad immensely.
