Palermo have accepted a joint £28million bid from tottenham for Simon Kjaer and Edinson Cavani.

A vast number of clubs have been linked with both players, with Palermo willing to listen to offers for the want-away duo, but Spurs appear to have stolen a march on their transfer rivals.

Both Manchester City and United have been linked with Kjaer, whilst Cavani has recently stated his desire to join Inter Milan.

Palermo chairman, Maurizio Zamperini has claimed Spurs have put down a bit of £28m for the pair and that the offer was too good to refuse.

“Tottenham have bid 35m Euros, an offer we cannot refuse, seeing as the two players have both said they want to leave.

“We will reinvest the money for these players. The midfield is my biggest concern, whereas in defence and attack we are fairly covered.”

The two have been targeted for a while by Harry Redknapp as he looks to bolster his squad for next season’s Champions League.
