Spurs have inquired about attacker with 15 goal contributions this season – Journalist reports

Sky Sport Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have asked about the availability of RB Salzburg striker Noah Okafor ahead of the summer transfer window.

Okafor rose to the spotlight with his breakthrough season in 2021-22 for Salzburg and the striker’s reputation has continued to blossom this season.

The versatile forward, who was operated through the middle or on either flank, has scored 10 goals and registered five assists across all competitions so far this campaign but he is about to run into the final 12 months of his contract in June (Transfermarkt).

Plettenberg has now revealed that the 22-year-old has decided to try his hand at a new challenge at the end of the current season and is not having any discussions with Salzburg over a new deal.

It is alleged that the Austrian club will demand a transfer fee of around €20m-€25m (£17.5m-£21.8m) for Okafor in the summer.

The journalist adds that Spurs are ‘very interested’ in the Swiss international but the North London club are not the only ones who have inquired about him, with Inter Milan and AC Milan also thought to be on the player’s trail.

I do not see why Tottenham will need another centre-forward if Kane stays as Richarlison is more than good enough to operate as a backup number nine when the England captain needs a rest, even though the Brazilian has flattered to deceive this season.
