Spurs hierarchy left furious over timing of ‘Harry Kane leak’

Tottenham Hotspur are reported to be deeply unimpressed with the timing of the news which broke last night over Harry Kane’s future at the club, ahead of their final two games of the season, according to Evening Standard chief football correspondent Dan Kilpatrick.

Sky Sports reported that Kane has once again reiterated his desire to leave the North Londoners this summer and wants his future resolved before next month’s European Championships.

The timing of the press reports is likely to leave interim coach Ryan Mason fielding a barrage of questions from the media when he holds his pre-Aston Villa conference at 1 pm today.

Mason was also the man in the firing line of the media following Tottenham’s involvement in the European Super League which came just after Jose Mourinho had been dismissed as head coach.

Tottenham are looking to secure a place in next season’s Europa League and the club believe that it has been an ‘unwelcome distraction‘ in their preparations.
