Spurs have reportedly made some concrete overtures towards signing one of the biggest names in the Premier League – Marcus Rashford.

Big-name forward expected to leave boyhood club
It seems inevitable that Marcus Rashford will leave Manchester United this window, and it has been widely reported over recent days that the forward is of interest to both Juventus and AC Milan.
However, the speculation linking the England international with a move to the Lilywhites refuses to go away, with several outlets reporting over recent days that Spurs have explored a loan move for Rashford.
Now, an interesting update has emerged on the forward, which explains the steps that Tottenham have taken to potentially sign the Man Utd man.

Spurs have held talks over Marcus Rashford deal
According to The Independent, Ange Postecoglou‘s side remain interested in Rashford and ‘have investigated’ whether a deal would be possible this window.
The report says that there is now a growing feeling that the 27-year-old has already played his last game at Old Trafford since new boss Ruben Amorim has not included him in his plans.
It is revealed that West Ham have also explored a move for Rashford, but Spurs have not only considered the idea of signing him but have also held ‘informal talks’ over a deal already.

Rashford is unlikely to end up at Tottenham
The Independent claim that despite Tottenham’s overtures, a deal to take the Red Devils star to Spurs is ‘considered to be highly unlikely’.
According to the report, the Englishman is likelier to move abroad this month, with Borussia Dortmund now challenging Juventus and Milan for his signature.
The outlet also points out that Rashford is currently warning over £300,000 per week, which puts him out of Tottenham’s wage structure, and adds that United are not expected to subsidise the player’s salary.
