Spurs learn of opponents in FA Cup fourth round draw

Tottenham Hotspur have been drawn away to Crystal Palace in the fourth round of the FA Cup after the draw was made this evening.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side booked their place in the draw following a comfortable 7-0 win against Tranmere Rovers on Friday night.

With four sides left in the hat waiting to be drawn, it looked as if Spurs could have faced Arsenal or Manchester United, but it was the Eagles who were pulled out to face Tottenham at Selhurst Park.

A hat-trick from bit-part striker Fernando Llorente, a brace from right-back Serge Aurier and goals from Heung-min Son and Harry Kane made the League Two side look relatively ordinary against Premier League opposition.

Spurs fans will be hoping that this will be the year that the club finally manage to win the trophy for the ninth time in their history, having last won it in 1991. To say that FA Cup glory is well overdue is a massive understatement.

The fourth round ties will take place between 25 and 28 January.
