Tottenham Hotspur overcame Cardiff 3-0 at Cardiff City stadium courtesy of first-half strikes from Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, and Heung-Min Son. Tottenham started the game off on the front foot, taking the game to the hosts and found themselves three goals up before the half-hour mark.
Although, Spurs missed several opportunities to add to the scoreline in the second half, the last hour of the game resembled a training session as Tottenham were just playing keep ball.
The performance and the result from the Lillywhites was much needed following a slip up to Wolves at Wembley last week. Spurs went down 3-1 to the Premier League newcomers after being talked up as potential title challengers leading up to the game.
The dominance Tottenham enjoyed at Cardiff certainly went a long way in assuaging fans fears by proving that the result against Wolves was just a minor blip. Tottenham legend Ossie Ardiles took to Twitter to congratulate Pochettino and the boys after the win.
Here’s what the former Tottenham midfielder and manager tweeted.
