Spurs legend singles out six stars for praise after their performances against Man City

Tottenham legend, Graham Roberts has singled out six Spurs stars for praise after the win over Manchester City in North London last night.

The victory took Spurs to the top of the Premier League table come the full-time whistle, with goals coming from Heung-min Son and Giovani Lo Celso in the 2-0 victory.

However, Roberts did not pay tribute to either of the goal scorers after the game finished, instead claiming that Harry Kane, Serge Aurier, Eric Dier, and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg deserved ‘special mentions’ for their ‘incredible’ performances.

Serge Aurier came in to replace Matt Doherty at right-back, with the Republic of Ireland defender having withdrawn from international duty after testing positive for COVID-19.

Roberts went on to publish a second tweet in order to add Moussa Sissoko and Sergio Reguilon to his honourable mentions, claiming that the latter was ‘class’.

Tottenham now face a Europa League clash on Thursday against Ludogorets before a bitter London derby against Chelsea in the Premier League next weekend.
