Spurs legend singles out three players for praise after win over Brentford

Graham Roberts has praised the performances of Oliver Skipp, Sergio Reguilon and Eric Dier following Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Brentford.

Skipp deservedly picked up the Man of the Match award after putting in a typically tenacious performance on Thursday.

In his post-match press conference, Antonio Conte spoke in glowing terms about the heart the youngster showed and insisted that he has all the attributes to evolve into a top midfielder.

Reguilon, meanwhile, seems to be growing into the left-wing-back role and provided the assist for Tottenham’s second by feeding Son Heung-min for a tap in after being played through on goal by Harry Kane.

Dier marshalled the defence brilliantly yet again from his central sweeper role in the back three, helping the home side to keep a clean sheet.

Roberts took to social media to commend the three players and also spoke in glowing terms about the passion that Conte exudes on the sidelines.

I am especially pleased for Eric Dier as he always seems to get a lot of unfair flake from parts of the Spurs fan base. He and Ben Davies have both demonstrated over the past few weeks that they are extremely reliable at the back as long as they are not left exposed.
