Spurs legend takes to Twitter to praise club over record signing

Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to praise Daniel Levy over the signing of Tanguy Ndombele. (Twitter)

Spurs ended their 517-day transfer drought with the arrivals of Jack Clarke from Leeds United and Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon. (Tottenham)

Roberts was a huge part of the Tottenham side which won the 1984 UEFA Cup and made over 200 appearances for the Lilywhites.

After splashing the cash on Tuesday, Roberts hailed the work done by the club for their work in improving the central midfield position.

“Wow what a signing absolutely delighted well done to the club huge area we needed to look to improve in with injuries and we have made it happen,” he said.

Spurs broke their transfer record fee in order to acquire the services of Ndombele with the French midfielder costing the club around £65m. (Sky Sports)

However, the 22-year-old was Mauricio Pochettino’s number one target for this summer’s transfer window in order to sure up the midfield after the departure of Mousa Dembele in January. (Guardian)
