Spurs legend wants club to sign PL defender instead of Joachim Andersen

Tottenham legend, Graham Roberts has claimed that he would rather see the club sign Brighton defender Lewis Dunk than Lyon’s Joachim Andersen this summer.

Roberts suggested that Dunk has more Premier League experience and, standing at six foot four inches tall, is a strong and powerful centre-back.

Dunk has plenty of time left on his Brighton contract, with it running until 2025, and TransferMarkt suggest that he is currently worth around £22.5m.

Fabrizio Romano reported recently that Spurs are interested in signing Joachim Andersen after his impressive loan spell at Fulham. The player himself is also said to be keen on remaining in the Premier League.

However, Football London claim that Lewis Dunk also has admirers in North London as Spurs search for a new central defender.

Dunk played 37 games for Brighton last season and scored an impressive five goals, largely thanks to his height. This is a more impressive return than some Spurs attackers.

When asked whether he would prefer Dunk over Andersen, Roberts said (ThisIsFutbol): “Yeah I would. He’s had more experience in the Premier League, he’s a strong, powerful lad, I would do, definitely.”
