Spurs-linked player with 15 assists last season admits he is open to leaving current club

Tottenham Hotspur have received a potential boost after rumoured target Daichi Kamada admitted that he could leave Eintracht Frankfurt this summer.

The 24-year-old is said to have attracted attention from both Tottenham following his efforts in the German top flight (Bild).

Kamada, who racked up five goals and 15 assists in 32 Bundesliga games last season, is under contract until 2023.

He is no stranger to North London, having scored two goals in ten second-half minutes against Arsenal in a Europa League clash, to give the German outfit a 2-1 victory at the Emirates which saw Unai Emery given his marching orders just a day later.

The midfielder admitted that he is open to the chance of moving to a higher profile club which would net him a higher salary, but did not rule out prospect of staying at the Deutsche Bank Park for another season.

He told Goal Japan while on international duty: “It is possible that I now change the club and earn more at a club with a higher reputation.

“I could also stay in Frankfurt for another year to become a more important player there. I remain patient. ”

Kamada’s assist record in the Bundesliga last season is certainly impressive and are the types of numbers that some of our midfielders need to be delivering, rather than relying on Harry Kane to also act as a playmaker.
