Rumours have surfaced that Harry Redknapp is keen on making a bid for AC Milan midfielder, Mathieu Flamini.

Flamini has become unsettled in Italy, after being asked to play out of position on a regular basis, when he does get a first team place.

The former Gooner is keen to play more regularly in order to boost his hopes of making France’s World Cup squad and Redknapp has expressed a wish to beef up his midfield options.

Redknapp needs to sell before he buys, and hopes to offload Roman Pavlyuchenko and David Bentley in order to raise some funds.

Flamini said, “I don’t want to play as a full-back, I am a midfielder.”

However, with Sandro’s move from Internacional nearing completion, a move for the Frenchman seems an unlikely any time soon.
