CalcioMercato are reporting that Benfica attacker Luka Jović is a January target for Tottenham Hotspur.
It is understood that forward is now interesting Spurs ahead of a potential transfer in the upcoming window with Mauricio Pochettino looking to strengthen his squad.
The 20-year-old is currently on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt and cemented his place in Bundesliga history earlier this month by becoming the youngest player in German league history to score five goals in their 7-1 thrashing of Fortuna Dusseldorf.
Jović stole the spotlight on what was just his third top-flight start of the season and has made some of Europe’s top clubs sit up and take notice.
He is currently the joint top scorer in the Bundesliga this season with seven goals alongside Dortmund’s Paco Alcácer.
Pochettino has already expressed his desire to bolster his side during the January transfer window and a striker to help Harry Kane with the goalscoring burden should certainly be high on his shopping list.
