Spurs lodge bid for Turkish international

Trabzonspor club president Ahmet Agaoglu has confirmed that an offer has been received for Abdulkadir Omur.

He revealed that the club have yet to make a decision over the future of Omur with the Turkey international closely linked with both Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City recently.

“We have received offers for Abdulkadir Omur but have not made a decision yet,” Agaoglu said.

Turkish journalist Erdal Hos, who has close ties to Trabzonspor, revealed on Turkish TV Channel TVNet that Spurs have made a bid: “There is a concrete offer from Tottenham for Abdulkadir Omur.”

However, Turkish sports paper Fanatik offers a conflicting report that Leicester City have lodged a €20 million offer and the Black Sea-based outfit will make a decision regarding the bid next week.

Omur is a first-team star for Trabzonspor and the 18-year-old scored three times while providing six assists in 32 appearances last season.

To be honest, I’ve never heard of Omur, but his age seems to fit in with the current age remit at Tottenham to buy young talent. Is it just another random link or there their be more to this one? Let us know your thoughts
