Spurs look to snare Manchester United ‘keeper

Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone is on Tottenham’s radar as back-up to Hugo Lloris next season.

According to The Sun Spurs are looking at goalkeeper options in case Michel Vorm looks for regular first-team football.

25 year-old Johnstone has impressed after being loaned to Aston Villa by Manchester United, with his contract running out in the summer and will be available on a free transfer after SEVEN loan clubs during his time at Old Trafford.

He has been a regular all season at Villa Park this season but a return to the Premier League football is not guaranteed and the article adds how he will face a massive dilemma if the chance to be No2 at a big club comes up.

Dutchman Vorm, 34, has been understudy to Lloris during his four years at Spurs, but is also out of contract in the summer and can leave without a fee if no extension is agreed.
