Spurs ‘make’ €50m bid for one of Europe’s brightest talents

Tottenham Hotspur have made a €50m bid to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic, according to German magazine Kicker.

The 19-year-old USA international is regarded as one of the brightest young talents playing in Europe and has also been linked with moves to Chelsea, Manchester United and Barcelona.

Pulisic has scored 12 goals and provided 20 assists in 97 appearances in all competitions since making his Bundesliga debut for Dortmund in January 2016, and already has 21 caps for his country despite is young age.

There is no doubt that Pulisic would be a quality signing for us, he is everything which we hoped Erik Lamela turn out to be and at such a young age, would flourish under the tutelage of Mauricio Pochettino.

Kicker’s suggested Spurs bid is slightly contrary to what Pulisic’s father had to say earlier last month when he labelled rumours linking his son with a summer transfer to the Premier League as “hogwash”.

“He’s linked with a different club every week,” Mark Pulisic said to the German media.

“Right now, Christian plays for Dortmund and that’s where he is planning on playing again next year.”
