Spurs man who pulled out from international duty spotted back in training

Ben Davies was pictured training with his teammates at Hotspur Way ahead of Tottenham’s trip to Newcastle United this weekend.

Spurs’ 2-1 win over Aston Villa before the international break was certainly a much-needed three points for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men on the back of three straight losses to Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Arsenal.

The Lilywhites will now be hoping to build on that momentum when they travel to St James’ Park on Sunday.

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham’s South American contingent will be involved in Sunday’s clash, with reports indicating the North London club are confident that the likes of Critistan Romero and Giovani Lo Celso will be eligible to make the trip up North.

Davies was another doubt for the clash after the left-back pulled out of the Wales squad due to illness.

However, the 28-year-old was pictured training with his teammates on Thursday, which indicates that he could be available for selection.

Reguilon certainly deserves to keep his place in the starting eleven as the Spaniard has been much improved this season. However, Davies is an important squad player and Nuno will have more options with the Welshman now back to fitness.
