If Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Radu Dragusin in the January transfer window they had better act fast, because Napoli, Atalanta, and AC Milan are also thought to be interested in the Genoa defender.
Rather unsurprisingly, Tottenham have made the acquisition of a new centre-half the absolute priority for the January transfer window (Telegraph).
Given the injuries to Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero, Ange Postecoglou has been forced to deploy Emerson Royal and Ben Davies—both of whom are full-backs by trade—in the centre of defence.
While a number of players have been mentioned in the same breath as Spurs leading up to the start of the winter window, it seems Genoa’s Radu Dragusin is now the closest to securing a move to North London.
Earlier today, Fabrizio Romano claimed Tottenham were preparing their first ‘verbal bid’ for the 21-year-old, and it is believed Dragusin himself has already approved the move to Spurs.
Spurs aren’t the only side who want Dragusin
However, as is to be expected with a talented player like Dragusin, other clubs are circling. According to Gianluca Di Marzio at Sky Sports Italy, Serie A giants Napoli and AC Milan, as well as fellow Italian side Atalanta, also hold an interest in the player.

Lyall Thomas shared the information, tweeting: “According to my colleague Gianluca Di Marzio
at Sky in Italy, Napoli also have an interest in Dragusin. He has also been tracked by AC Milan and Atalanta but they are not strong on him at the moment.”
Spurs Web Opinion
You’d think that the main appeal for Dragusin in leaving Genoa would be to play in the Premier League, rather than simply stepping up to a bigger club in Serie A. I think Spurs will hold the advantage in any race, and we should get this deal finalised pretty soon.
