Spurs may miss out on Serie A duo

Mauricio Pochettino is looking to bolster his Tottenham Hotspur ranks over the summer however according to reports he does look set to miss out on two supposed targets.

We are moving to our new stadium in the next few months and a title charge is expected from club chiefs but the Argentine tactician may now be forced to seek alternative options as two of his top transfer targets are set to slip from his grasp.

The Daily Mirror recently had suggested that Spurs were eyeing a £100m double raid on Lazio for Sergei Milinkovic-Savic and Ciro Immobile.

However according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato Immobile is expected to pen fresh terms with the Serie A side, suggesting he’ll remain in Rome until 2021 and will also receive a hefty pay rise.

Immobile was prolific in the Italian top tier last term scoring 41 goals in 47 games.

Meanwhile Milinkovic-Savic, has emerged as one of Europe’s hottest prospects and thus Tottenham face major competition for his services as Manchester United, Manchester City and Barcelona all battle for his signature.

It goes on to say Barcelona watched Milinkovic-Savic on regularly last season, adding that they could also have the edge over Premier League teams because Milinkovic-Savic holds a Spanish passport having been born in the Catalonia.
