Spurs midfielder insists he finds it easy playing with this teammate

Of all of Tottenham’s signings this summer, Tanguy Ndombele is arguably the one that comes with most expectations.

Tottenham shattered their transfer record to sign the 23-year-old from Lyon this summer after his performances over the last couple of seasons captured the attention of several big clubs across Europe.

The French international began his Spurs career in great fashion as he scored with a blistering strike against Aston Villa on his Premier League debut last weekend.

One person who seems to be helping Ndombele settle at the club is his compatriot Moussa Sissoko.

Sissoko, who was one of Tottenham’s most consistent performers for Spurs last season has claimed that Ndombele has continued to improve since he arrived at the club at the beginning of last month.

The 30-year-old also said that the pair’s special relationship makes it easy for them to play together on the pitch.

Speaking to Sky Sports News (15/08/2019 14:30 pm), Sissoko said, “Everything he (Ndombele) has done since he has arrived is good. He’s improving a lot, even on his English, and on the pitch, he understands what we ask him to do.

“I think he showed directly from the first game of the season. This will give him more to keep going in his work with Tottenham.

“When you have a special relationship with someone outside of the pitch and on the pitch, it will be easier. Tanguy is a very good player, so I think it’s not difficult to play with him, so we are all trying to do well together.

“Hopefully, we can improve, or some of the players that were on the bench or injured, they can always be involved.”

Spurs Web Opinion

The pair are certainly capable of forging a formidable partnership in the middle of the park this season. However, we at Spurs Web are more excited about the Winks-Ndombele partnership and we expect the pair to become the first choice pairing as the season progresses.
