Spurs midfielder undergoing scans

Jermaine Jenas

Jermaine Jenas will go for a scan on his calf this morning.

The Spurs midfielder limped off after just 20 minutes into the match against Werder Bremen last night and Redknapp is hoping that the injury isn’t too serious.

“JJ felt his calf tighten up,” Redknapp explained.

“He felt suddenly as if something had gone. He’ll go for a scan in the morning. He may have caught it in time. It’s a shame because he has been playing well.”

  1. JJ needs to be back in the squad together with Hudd, Ledley & Woodgate. Our schedule is becomming a bit hectic with the EPL,Cl & FA fixtures.

  2. never thought i would say this but with Hudd out and Palacios not even a shadow of his former self, WE NEED JJ! Sandro could come in and do a job but he is still very raw around the edges and isnt quite up to speed with the way the others around him play (id hate to see him chucked in against the scousers at the weekend). i personally think JJ has been immense this year(compared to previous years), he was the unsung hero of Sundays 2nd half mauling of the woolwich nomads, he marked Fabregash out of the game and showed a diciplined side us spurs fans havent seen from him for a very long time. Get fit soon JJ!!! COYS!!

  3. I think each Spurs midfielder that has been given an opportunity over the past 6 months has stepped up. From Bale to Huddlestone and now Jenas, so I expect Palacios to do the same thing. It is a given that players play themselves into form and I don’t see why this couldn’t happen for Palacios.

  4. I thought Palacios did much better when he came on against Bremen. Timed tackles well and only a couple of stray passes. Kept it simple and won the ball. Spot on!!!!
