Spurs monitoring Leicester left-back

Tottenham are said to be monitoring Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell after impressive performances in the opening weeks of the season.

Chilwell was handed his first ever senior England call up yesterday, as he and Demarai Gray joined up with the squad ahead of the game against Switzerland on Tuesday.

Arsenal and Liverpool both had bids for Chilwell rejected in January 2016, before he had his first-team debut for Leicester.

Danny Rose, a current left-back of Spurs, is also with the England team at the moment, but has been linked with a move away from the club over the past year.

Chilwell would offer a younger replacement for the now 28-year-old Tottenham veteran.

A bid would likely wait until next summer, as Leicester are unlikely to sell in January.

Spurs are also said to remain keen on Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham, and may only purchase one of the two youngsters.

Would Ben Chilwell be a good Spurs signing?
