Tottenham midfielder Niko Kranjcar looks set to move to Sunderland before the end of the transfer window.
The Croatian midfielder is looking for regular first team football, something which he didn’t have at Spurs last season. Especially if Modric is staying at the club, Kranjcar would face another season of warming the bench.
“We are about to close a deal with Sunderland,” Kranjcar’s representative, Adrian Aljai, told Daily Express.
“I believe that is the best solution for Niko.”
Kranjcar made just two starts for Tottenham in the Premier League last season.
