Spurs open for defender to leave before end of the month

Tottenham are open to allowing Danny Rose to leave even this late on in the summer transfer window, according to The Evening Standard.

Despite being heavily linked with a move away from the north London side, Rose returned to the squad in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Fulham.

It is believed Rose denied the opportunity to go out on loan to last season’s Bundesliga runners-up Schalke.

The defender was reported to be holding out for a move to the Ligue 1 champions PSG but it has been reported the French side are no longer interested in bringing Rose in on loan.

Although the 28-year-old returned to the side on Saturday, it is understood Mauricio Pochettino would be more than happy to play the season with Ben Davies and youngster Kyle Walker-Peters as his left-back options.

However, The Evening Standard also reports Spurs are now fully confident Toby Alderweireld will remain at Spurs for at least another season despite interest from Europe.

Most European sides still have one week until their transfer window slams shut but Pochettino is confident Alderweireld will remain at the Lilywhites.

Spurs fans, do you think Rose will leave before the end of the month?
